291 3/28/83. Oysters
But
four young Oysters hurried up,
All eager for the treat:
Their coats were brushed, their faces washed,
Their shoes were clean and neat |
(The Walrus
and the Carpenter, Lewis Carrol) |
It was a
time to talk of many things, after which the Walrus and the Carpenter
ate the oysters.
Remember the letter left behind by one of the 9-11 hijackers?
They were admonished to have a neat appearance on their last
daywashed and shaved, clothes clean and shoes shined.
But I drew this 18 years before that attack! . . .
